Top Notch Torque is currently searching for a Shop Technician to provide services in Grande Prairie, AB.
We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic, positive, hard-working individuals to join our fast-growing company.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Tickets requirements are: H2S Alive, First Aid AB & BC, AWP, Fall Protection, CSO, CSTS-2020, Bear Aware or Wilderness Awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Wash equipment that comes back from field.
- General maintenance of shop tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or skid steer.
- Load or unload trucks picking up or delivering supplies.
- General assembly work that may require operating automated hydraulic/air machinery and various power/hand tools.
- Inspects all assembly parts and reports defective material or questionable component conditions to management.
- Assist with special projects and cover for multiple positions when staffing levels are low/production or operating demands are accelerated (Possible Field Work).
- General housekeeping of the facility.
- Focus on continual improvement and customer service. Actively engages in and seeks out opportunities for continual improvement in personal, process, and daily operations.
- Facilitates a cooperative working environment.
- Other general labor duties as required laundry, grass cutting and snow removal.
Qualification and Educational Requirements:
The successful candidate will have:
- Grade 12 or equivalent education.
- Must have a Valid Drivers License.
- Experience working in the oil and gas industry with a basic understanding and process of equipment would be preferred.
- Mechanically inclined. Experience performing routine and preventive maintenance on hydraulic wrenches and pumps, rotating mechanical equipment maintenance would be a bonus.
- Ability to stand, climb, bend, and lift up to 50lbs for extended periods of time.
- Strong commitment to health, to safety, to the environment and to customer service.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in stressful situations.
